Relax Massage Oil

Emu oil suspended with hemp-derived CBD, apricot kernel oil and sea buckthorn oil — the same formula our therapists work into every massage and bodywork session at 41 Union Square West, now available to use at home between visits.

What makes it different from a standard massage oil is glide time. Most massage lotion is formulated to absorb quickly, which is fine for light, flowing work but means constant re-application during a slow, sustained pass. This oil behaves more like a balm: it stays workable on the skin longer, so it holds up through deep tissue work, self-massage on tight areas, or a longer session without needing to keep reaching for more.

Emu oil is the carrier rather than a standard fractionated coconut or grapeseed base because its fatty acid profile sits unusually close to human sebum — practically, that means it tends to be non-comedogenic and low-fragrance, which matters if you react to the perfumed oils common in spa products, or have dry or sensitized skin. Sea buckthorn oil adds a source of omega-7 fatty acids on top of that base.

Use it as a full-body massage oil, on specific tight or overworked areas after training, or anywhere you'd normally reach for a standard massage oil — it's unscented enough to layer under your own routine rather than compete with it.
